Homosexuality: Is It Really a Choice?

I’ve seen people tormented for having sexual attraction to the same gender. Is it their fault? I personally don’t think so. I’ve been reading this book titled, “Is it a choice?” – frequently asked questions about the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered community.

The book basically asks a bunch of questions like;

“Do all lesbians own Subarus”, and the book answers with an appropriate answer, such as. . .

“No, but Subarus support the GLBT community, giving donations, and supporting the community itself as a whole, therefore, the community would like to give back to the generous company”.

And the main reason I bought the book was the title, and the question that matched it in the book.

So. .  IS it a choice?

The book explains recent studies are starting to prove that being gay, is more of a thing that comes genetically. Something you cannot choose, like your eye color, and your hair. Which basically means someone in your family had to have strong feelings about the same sex.

Also, my Aunt, she has done studies in college that had a hypothesis as well. Supposedly there is a part in your brain, that if bigger than a normal. .  or “STRAIGHT” person is, you will probably turn out to be gay.

I personally, am a member of the homosexual community, and I KNOW it’s not a choice. I didn’t wake up one morning thinking, “Okay, starting today, for the rest of my life, I will forever being NATURALLY attracted to men” Now, I might get some comments back on this from homophobes saying “That’s not natural at all”. What I mean by natural is being something untouched, something that cannot be helped with the human brain.

So, let me know what your theories are.
