People Taking Advantage of You
So "called" friends who are not your friends!
There are friends and then there are so “called” friends! The so “called” friends are the ones who are NOT your friends! I have one of those or lets say, quite a few of those. A lady friend of mine, who I allowed to move in with me, was taking advantage of the situation. Basically, taking advantage of me!
Being the kind hearted soul I am, I allowed this friend to move in with me. Little did I know it would not work, I should’ve seen it coming but I didn’t! She needed a place to live, a job, car, etc. Talk about a big time moocher, ha! It’s like a trainwreck, but you just don’t see it coming.
I always seem to believe everything that everybody tells me. I trust too much, I give too much and get nothing in return. Such a typical scenario, right? Well, that’s about how it is with me. I always go out of my way for folks, but realize later that they are just using me over and over again!
This so “called” lady friend had her plans etched out well until I figured out what she was doing. I guess she thought I was dumb as a box of rocks, NOT! I met her at my local gym where she worked. Something about her just didn’t seem right, but of course I gave her the benefit of the doubt. She seemed cordial and thoughtful. The more I learned about her, the more I became intrigued. Her and I had more common and I thought that was just awesome.
We had the same taste in men, food, drinks, movies, etc. Again, I didn’t see the trainwreck coming. We started hanging out, having drinks, talking, all girls night, etc. Again, I didn’t see it coming.
Then one day she approached me about her daughter, who she lived with, was moving to another state. She did not have a place to squat. So I thought about it slowly, but told her I never had a roommate and never would. So she approached another friend who she decided to move in with, but it just didn’t happen. So her last resort was me of course. She approached me one last time and I caved in thinking it would be a great financial gain for me. I mean with the economy, it was nothing but a “win win” situation.
