Pride
So what if it ain’t in the Bible! We are people too!
God? Is there a God? Yes? No? Well it’s all debatable. Bi? Gay? Straight? Most of our society is straight and degrade those that deviate from the norm! Define normal? You can’t just judge people based on their sexuality. How is that what God wants? Aren’t we all God’s children!? A society is full of laws and what not! What about back in the day when those of a different color had to fight for freedom from being a slave, segragetion, and so much more. But those that love differently when they fight it’s like no cares to hear or even see! Like my wife who while in a high school gym class was called a dyke and nothing was done about it even when the teacher heard it! How does that justify right? Our society is closed minded it shouldn’t be like that. Why hate those or well deny those that are different rights? We have PRIDE! We want to show it though some may not like it! Well you are who you are no one can tell you otherwise! Be proud! Stand up! Come out! Laws ban gay marriage in certain states but why? Isn’t love? Should it matter? Who do we think to judge and deny rights? Those of different color got their rights through a fight of time. WE gays and lesbians are still fighting for the right to just be able to marry and adopt. Yes it is good that some states allow for us to marry and adopt but shouldn’t it be spread throughout the world to show that hey we are a society be who you are we’re ok with that. But no! It’s disgrace and disgust against those that love differently. Oh hate crimes against gays is that justifiable? Yes? No? Look at Matthew Shepard of Lawrence King what did they do to be killed? Nothing it was all done becase of their sexuality. Freedom? Do gays and lesbians have it?

Hmmmmm,
Well I’d say you are right in saying you cant change who/what you are sometimes, somethings are forced on children that cannot be wiped away, we all do the best with what we have endured, it makes us who we are, all should be given a chance to prove them selves…

I think that you hit a great point. In this world we teach children that it is ok to be who they are. That everyone is different and it is ok and that they will be accepted. As they get older they find out that it is true but only if it is within the lines of what those adults taught them. Anything that even bends the line or crosses it is unacceptable, because “after all if God wanted it that way he would have made it that way.” “Wait? What? I was born who I am, so doesn’t that mean he wanted me this way?” “No sweetie the good book says other wise.”
I think that GLBT and S people should have the same rights because 1. they are human. 2. church and state are supposed to be separate so why should what the church have to say get in the way of two people loving each other? 3. they pay taxes just like everyone else so that they can have rights. If they don’t get the same rights give them back some of their money…Of course it’s not that simple but it’s also not rocket science.

Melissa,I don’t really know what to say here. From the first time we made contact it was obvious who you were and how you live.(I hope that came out ok).I actually thought it was a little cool that you had the gumption to go about it that way,you don’t care what others think, good for you.
No matter what you do,people will always find a way to criticize,i know you are young,so you better just get used to it.
To be totally honest, here in California,I am sick to death of hearing about it.It’s in the news EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Millions have been spent, for and against it.
I see your point, but think about this…My girlfriend and I never got married legally, she has Kaiser but I can’t be on her policy……
What’s the difference?

Keep up the fight, don’t let em wear you down.. that is what they want. What other group of people have their rights voted on by the public.
Should we start a referendum to ban left -handed people from public? How can a child be brought up in a family with a right and a left handed person? Won’t that confuse them?
As far as the bible goes, keep it out of politics, pure and simple!
Thanks,
Clay

Melissa, be who you are. Don’t worry about other people and their narrow and closed minded one track thought process. Love doesn’t ask for your age, color or sex. It just happens, you find someone that you connect with.
I agree with Clay that politics and the Bible do not mix because their toxic together.
Never give up on your rights as human being. It may be a long one but you have proof it works, look at the, Africans and Native Americans and the Jews.
God bless, Melissa.

You’re both sinners and you will repent! Take your trashy ways and go to hell! You’re a bleeding wound on this community.
God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve, or Eve and Jane!
Gay doesn't exist.

There’s no such thing as gay marriage. It was an invented term. Just because children sit around and play house does not mean that they are actually running a real household. Just because two men have a document that says they are married does not mean that they are. Marriage is above legal documents and court decisions. It is a sacred bond between a man and woman that makes them not two people, but one. I don’t hate gay people. I just want them to quit acting like children, and fooling themselves into thinking that they can be married. It is impossible, it doesn’t matter what the vote says. There is no law against love. But marriage is exclusive. If you want to be married, go find someone of the opposite sex. If you just want to love other people, do that, because there is no law against love.
