A Letter to my Representative

I wrote a letter to my Representative in D.C., and I still have not heard back from him!

December 4th , 2007

Dear Representative Michael McCaul,

Recently I e-mailed you on what your stance was on the Iraq war, and how much

longer Congress was going to keep our troops on unfriendly soil. You failed to respond

which deeply disturbs me. I am sure that you are incredibly busy bending over backwards

to give Bush. all the money that he can send over the Atlantic. Or maybe setting up talks

of establishing U.S. military bases in Iraq, in which military personal could possibly be

used as potential targets much like Russian and Cuban personal were thinking of

attacking Guantanamo Bay during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

 Representative McCaul I

beseech you to bring in to order this debacle that is Operation Iraqi Freedom. We

Americans seem to not learn from our past mistakes. Has it been that long since

Vietnam? I wasn’t even born when the last solider stepped up into a helicopter leaving

Vietnamese ground, yet I see a lot of similarities between Vietnam and Iraq. Sadam is

dead, we are involved in a civil war, and 1.6 trillion has been spent on a country that will

more than likely turn on us in 20 years.

Sincerely,

A.W. Smith
