Can India Become a Superpower?
Can India become a superpower?
India is one of the countries of the world with high ethnic differences, population, resources, cultural heritage and many other things which when utilized can make it a superpower in the post-coming decades. It is now probably just a developing country and may also be teased by some foreigners as a country of poverty. But did you know that India has high contribution in the service sector and some MN C’s may even collapse without Indian services? If you reason out that these are interdependencies between countries , even then there are many reasons why India can become a superpower. Our GDP is more than 800$ billion and is increasing at a rate of 20% every year.India also has many tourist places which also increase the foreign exchange and foreign investment. Many companies are also employing Indian youth as they are highly skilled and speak good English.India also has a very high status in Information Technology , industrialization and improvement in pharmaceuticals, road conditions, science and technology. There are also many scientists, laborers,IT pros employed in developed countries like USA,China,Singapore etc.It also boasts of highest percentage of youth population and has the 3rd largest number of Billionaires like Mukesh Ambani,Vijay Mallya etc.Additionally,it has a very large and powerful army, defense system and 5th powerful navy in the world. It has about 30% of the iron resources of the world.Though it lacks in some aspects,if it improves steadily, then becoming a superpower is not tough. In this case, any country can become a superpower. It only takes patience, combined efforts of citizens and government, responsibility and good planning to become a superpower.Thats what America did after the world wars and thats why it became a superpower. So as it is, an optimist would say,India will become a superpower by 2030.

A couple of topics that I feel is necessary to achieve the status are
(1) Stringent methods to deal with corruption. Corruption is a dangerous disease that may kill any progress that we make in other areas
(2) Improvement in political governance. Separation of powers between political organs and bureaucracies.
Overall, you’ve touched on a lot of important topics and well said.

1. India is the largest democracy in the world.
Right, after 60 years, it is a massive failure of the largest democracy
2. India is the oldest civilization on earth with over 8000 years of history.
So is China, Egypt and Iraq. Your history does not automatically qualifies you the title of superpower. You have to produce 500 Million tons of steel each and get you GDP per capita higher than US.
3. India\\’s 1.5 billions population is larger than China\\’s 1.4 billions.
Srarvation, poverty and iliteracy is extraordinarily high. All your population has to reach the level of US.
4. The fastest growing economy in the world for the last thirty years, averaging 12% a year.
Not 12%. Do not lie. Lying does not get you there.
5. The smartest people in the world with the highest IQ anywhere on earth.
Racist comments. If you are in a US company, you get fired by making that comments.
6. India has the longest wall in the world, the only manmade structure visible on the moon.
Never heard of. Lies do not carry you to wealth. Keep dreaming.
7. India will send a man to moon by 2010.
On a one-way ticket? You do not even have a rocket capable of doing the job.Again, lying does not delivery your man to moon.
8. India has the lowest cost car in the world, the Nano from Tata motor.
Cheap and unsafe car does not ensure your future. You have to produce Mercedes.
9. 60% of engineers in Microsoft, Oracle, Sun, Google and NASA are Indians.
Another lie. Stop this racial comments. Some Indians work in a global company do not qualifies India a Superpower.
10. 25% of current US governors are Indian-Americans, including the youngest one, governor of Louisiana, Bobby Jindal.
Lies one more time. Faking statistical data does not guarranty you success. Plus, US politicians serve US people, not indian people.

1. India is the largest democracy in the world.
.so? china is communist and they are on there way to being a superpower. russia was communist an was a former superpower.
2. India is the oldest civilization on earth with over 8000 years of history.
.so what? does that make you a superpower?
.
3. India\’s 1.5 billions population is larger than China\’s 1.4 billions.
what the literacy rate? china literacy rate is in the high 90’s. India suppose to be an english speaking country with only a little over 40% able to speak english.
4. The fastest growing economy in the world for the last thirty years, averaging 12% a year.
It must be a well keep secret. who are they selling all this stuff to?
5. The smartest people in the world with the highest IQ anywhere on earth.
sure! is this why most off your country’s brightest individuals work in Us, and Europe companies (like you stated Microsoft)? How does that help India?
6. India has the longest wall in the world, the only manmade structure visible on the moon.
Really! with the smartest people on the planet why didn’t someone think of turning this “invisible wall” into a million dollar tourist attraction. Maybe this will help to grow the ecomomy faster then just 12%. you got any post cards showing this wall?
7. India will send a man to moon by 2010.
Sure! Can I go to! please! pretty please!
8. India has the lowest cost car in the world, the Nano from Tata motor.
So? How does that benefit India? How are the stock option looking for “TABOO” Motors and their “NO-NO” car.
9. 60% of engineers in Microsoft, Oracle, Sun, Google and NASA are Indians.
Thanks! for contributing to the american economy. We apreciate all India’s skilled technical labors helping make the US strong.
10. 25% of current US governors are Indian-Americans, including the youngest one, governor of Louisiana, Bobby Jindal.
How does outsourcing the job of 25 governers help India?
11. What you IQ? now start counting backwards. Hey! you getting closer keep counting.

Sorry but it ticks me off when Idnians say they are The Indus when the children of The Indus are pakistani, same ethnicity, same language exists in what is Pakistan.
Indus Valley were not Vedic, they ate meat and buried their dead.
The British fused Indus and the subcontinent together and ever since the backward gangean civilisation has hijacked the Indus Civilisation.
India go get your own friggin history.
Bhuddism existed before Vedics.
Vedics was more notable an Arayan introduction to the Gangean “backward” civilisation.
Vedic Aryan pantheons and way of life was NOT taken on by the Indus Civilisation who were far more superior but the Vedic Pantheons were accepted by Gangeans as they were jungle folk and very primitive.
So correction – dont go calling your self The Indus.
