China: A New Born Baby in The World
China owned a piece of land more than 5000 years in Asia. It is enormously huge, the resources are rich and it has a longer history than the European powers. Rewind the History, you may observe the Chinese have made the same mistakes again and again. And this is why up till now, China do not have a chance to become a superpower.
For some people around the world, you may think of China is a strong country in the world and also it is a powerful nation in the past few thousands years. It is undoubtedly true that China has a long, long History, and its culture is unique. Even if the Europeans had to walk across the desert in the past, they were willing to buy porcelain, tea, and silk. Perhaps it gives a good impression to all of you.
For me, I will think that it is a new born baby though it was born a lot earlier than your motherlands. Let’s talk about something very boring first. In the year of 1949, the People Republic of China was established. The leader at that time abolished all the absolute system and all the feudal system. And the past 50 years, there were reformations and revolutions happened nearly every year. When the whole world entered the 21th century, the situation started to change. Advanced technology was made. Moreover, it got a good result in the 2008 Olympic Games. This amazed so many of you.
Why do I think that China is a new born baby because it doesn’t have a complete system to ensure the equality of every citizen. A fast growing country does not mean it is mature or it is strong. But at least, a strong country should give a good quality of life to all the citizens. A country should have a good system on politics, economic, society, environment and culture. For economics, government can encourage their citizens to invest their capital on stocks, houses or cars. For politics, the government should ensure the citizen’s safety, or give the right to their people to something that is legal. For society, government can provide medical helps or financial helps foe those who need them. For environment, the government should teach their people to conserve the eco-system and protect the environment. For culture, the government should teach it’s citizen to conserve the historical heritage.
Government has the responsibility to teach its citizens to do right things. On the contrary, the citizens are also responsible to protect their motherland. Throwing rubbish everywhere is a serious problem. Not only do these actions pollute the environment, but also it is a bad manner. Foreigners may not notice the Chinese speak dirty language. But if you are able to listen to those dirty languages, you will think that they are absolutely impolite. And this is why I say China is still a new born baby. Though it changes from time to time, it still doesn’t have a good system to regulate the citizens and also the citizens are not well-civilized.
But I believe, every bad thing I listed above will disappear before long. It is because no matter how difficult the works they are; the Chinese will have their own method to solve them!
