Estonia is Now in Eurozone

Estonia Joined Eurozone 1Th January 2011.

Estonia is officially in Euro-zone now. New Currency is Euro. Previous currency was “Kroon”. 15.6 Kroons is 1 Euro.

Estonians having difficulties at the moment with euros. Euro seems so little money as a number but actually its big. Estonians had as a paper cash 2,5,25,50,100 and 500 copiers. Now the 100 in euros is just a 6.4 Euros.

Lots of people are complaining about it. But yes lets welcome Estonia to Euro-zone.

The Kroon (sign: Kr; code: EEK) was the official currency of Estoniafor two periods in history: 1928–1940 and 1992–2010. Between 1 January and 14 January 2011, the Kroon circulated together with the euro, after which the euro became the sole legal tender in Estonia.[2][3] It was subdivided into 100 senti (singular sent). The word Kroon (Estonian pronunciation: [ˈkroːn], crown) is related to that of other Nordic currencies (such as the Swedish krona and the Danish and Norwegian krone) and derived from the Latin word corona(”crown”). The Kroon succeeded the mark in 1928 and was in use until the Soviet invasion in 1940, after which it was replaced by the Soviet ruble. After Estonia regained its independence, the Kroon was reintroduced in 1992.

Now ill put a Estonian euros pictures. This have Estonian country on it and it looks very good.
