Gasoline Drinking Addiction

Gasoline poses hazards to human bodies; this contains chemicals that are toxic to our bodies such as benzene, toluene, and lead. This can harm our respiratory, circulatory and nervous systems. Few of the effects include dizziness, headaches, irritation of the lungs, and serious effects are inability to breath, coma, or even death. Exposure to gasoline which includes inhalation, skin contact, and ingestion can be very dangerous.
What if this harmful chemical becomes an addictive substance which is not only inhaled but ingested?
Shannon, 20-year-old lady from Canada was featured in ‘My Strange Addiction’ became addicted to drinking gasoline. This addiction has started at young age. Now she consumes about 12 teaspoons per day. She has even drunk 5 gallons of gas in just one year! How alarming is this for her health. But this is not the first case, it was also reported that a Chinese man consuming petrol for 42 years.
These are sad truths happening to youngsters and other people, which should really be given great attention. Not only this kind of addiction, but all other addictions should be dealt. It is sad for children, teens, and adults to be subjected to any kinds of activities. These things may be controlled if parents keep an eye to their kids. Supervision of parents is very important and children should also keep in their minds the dangers they are giving their bodies. Remember we only have one body, one life, and we must love it. Any addiction, any too much is dangerous for us.
