Good Governance and Development

When we talk about good Governance we refer to as the system of government where no holds barred. This means a situation where government is actually of the people by the people and for the people. A situation where an ordinary commoner could raise complains to the government and have it attended to without delay. This represents governance that cares about kids, youths, mothers, fathers, and the aged ones.

When all is in order, when every situation is been attended to, when Government strives for the advancement of the society and economy, then we talk about good governance.

Development in other hand is that experience in having a slum been transformed into a city, where the educational system is planned and continuously reviewed to meet going concerns and the situation where tomorrow is made to be worth waiting for to all citizens.

However while we dig deep into these two subjects, we must not forget that a characteristic element of good governance is development in all ramifications.

What is omelet without egg? What is fish without waters? And what is good governance without development? This goes to say that development is of high essence to good governance as it largely constitutes the means with which a government should be measured.

As at today, we cannot over-emphasize the impact some leaders have made all around the world and a close look at all their deliveries would reveal that it’s not all about good governance in its literary self, but the development that have come to be under the government.

Good governance and development are the seed and shell phenomenon.
