Iran: Negotiations are Under Way to Hold Nuclear Talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said on Wednesday that negotiations were under way for new talks between Western powers and Iran over Tehran’s nuclear program and that it is likely that the talks are being held in Istanbul, but the date has not been determined.

Salehi said to reporters during a visit to Turkey, “the negotiations were under way on the place and time. We would like to make these negotiations. .. And probably you are not sure yet .. will be held in Istanbul. The date is not set yet but will be soon.”

Salehi said that Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu in contact official of the foreign policy in the European Union, Catherine Ashton, who heads what is known as the delegation of five plus one, and Said Jalili, Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator to agree on a date and venue of the talks.
