Jamaican Aerospace Education Fund

To help Jamaicans interested in aerospace education a fund has been set up. From initial $15 million students can get money as a loan and there is 5 percent interest. Chairman of the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority (JCAA) Mr. Y.P Seaton stated that professionals can earn a lot from this field. And for the funding JCCA will provide capital. On Tuesday at the Terra Nova All Suite Hotel and it was JCAA’s International Civil Aviation Day Michael Henry the Minister of Transport and Works announced the Aerospace Education Development Fund program. He said that previous graduates are all employed now to overseas companies. Lieutenant Colonel Oscar Derby, director general of the JCAA, said the JCAA expects to start collecting loan application from this week.
An aerospace education fund has been set up. Because Jamaicans interested to study in related fields can take a loan. As there is a great demand of professionals in this field. Y.P. Seaton, chairman of the (JCAA) said that professionals can earn a lot as the repayment period is reasonable. Michael Henry the Minister of Transport and Works announced the fund program on International Civil Aviation Day. Director General of the JCAA Lieutenant Colonel Oscar Derby stated to the JCAA experts to start collecting loan applications from current week. As it is a very demanding subject.
Such aerospace education fund is very important for the Jamaicans who are interested to study in related fields. As students will have 5 years to repay the money many students will find it helpful. There may come a time when other countries will send their aircraft in Jamaica to be repaired.
