Libya’s Future is Now Up to Libya

Qaddafi supported, funded, and harbored the terrorists that were responsible for the Lockerbie bombing.  He should have been taken from power in 1988.  There were 270 casualties, most American, and the U.S. response was a couple of bombs on Qaddhafi’s palace and a slap on the wrist.  That was America’s opportunity to push Qaddafi out of power with full public support.  However, it is too late for the U.S. to intervene now.  We have 2 wars going on in the Middle East and any type of military involvement in this revolution will be propaganda for extremist Islamic groups.  Qaddafi must be forced from power but the push must now come from Muslims that want a democratic nation.
