My Fall and Rise in Fairfax County Virgina-part Two

The true life story of my fall and rise in Fairfax County Virgina Part II. Relating to the incident that led to a mother’s pain, misery, and anguish. The greatest injustice a mother could ever face alone. Being stuck in a time warp, where she is the victim but held accountable for the perpetrator. A perpetrator that was never arrested nor charged, but the Police Officer stated they seen signs of abuse at the time they arrived at my apartment.

 Part II

In Officer’s Cook report to Child Protective Services, he stated my name as,” Tina Simms(D.O.B-09/04/62).” The Four Officers that responded to the call sworn testimony was that they witnessed a mark on my 9 year old son’s arm. I’ve taken a number of five parenting classes in my overall lifetime, due to my son being born premature. In every one of the parenting classes it teaches the difference of disciplining and abuse. It taught me to know the difference between the two, 1) You are allowed to discipline your child but not to the point your leaving marks on them. 2) when you discipline your child to the point where they’re showing signs of whip marks, hand print, or etc. it’s considered child abuse.

On the 3rd day of March of 2000, Officer Cook filed a report of possible Child Abuse against Tina Simms with the Child Protective Services. Well, on the 9th day of March of 2000 the Department Of Child Protective Services assigned a Social Worker to investigate the suppose report written up by Officer Cook. The Social Worker Jos Waldron showed up at my 9 year old son Tony Nelson’s school to speak with him. During this point and time my name should have been corrected, from Tina Simms D.O..B 9/4/62 to Margaret A.T Johnson D.O.B 4/7/74; one would think right? Not at all, Ms. Jos Waldron obtained contact information from my son’s transcript only to get in contact with a Tina Simms.

Ms. Jos Waldron was very unprofessional from the first day she called my apartment to the day I first met her. Ms. Jos Waldron kept calling my apartment asking to speak with a Tina Simms, and even after being told on numerous times that person did not reside there. On the 16th day of March of 2000, Ms. Waldron showed up at my apartment asking to speak with Tina Simms, I explained once again that the person she was inquiring about didn’t reside at this address. Ms. Jos Waldron then proceeded to ask too speak with Tony Nelson Mother. I stated that, I was in fact Tony’s mother. I asked her, ” how can I help you?”, that’s when she stated she was from the Department Of Child Protective Services.

I want to give my readers a clear picture of how everything transpired and led up to me losing custody of my 9 year old son Tony Ikeam Nelson. Before I go any further I must explain how this Social Worker Jos Waldron was very unprofessional in handling the well being of my child or any other one for that matter. I had just prepared to upgrade my Living Room Furniture with Rent A Center, and had turned in the old furniture. So, I was without a Living Room Suit, however, I asked her to come into my apartment even offering her a seat; and she looked around my front apartment. Then Ms. Jos Waldron turned to me and asked,” where do I sit?”,  I replied, ” didn’t I just ask you to have a seat?” “Do you not see my dining room table with chairs?” Ms. Jos Waldron then answered ,”Yes.” I, then stopped her at my front door and stated this meeting is over, due to you already drawing your conclusion due to what I don’t have. Ms. Jos Waldron had made a bias judgement against me for not having living room furniture. Even after she seen my dining room table with four chairs, she asked where could she sit; rather then entering into my apartment and taking a seat at my dining room table.
