Sarah Palin: Her Values and Resistance From Elitist Conservatives
About the values Sarah Palin promotes and resistance from mostly republicans and elitist conservatives.
We live in a world of players and hustlers. Now, I am not going to condemn anyone for the behaviors he or she thinks are appropriate. After all the United States of America are free states.
However, I know what I want in a public figure. I want a person who has a competent grasp of reality and honest about their values. In addition, I want a person who will do what they say.
The problem in modern US politics is that many public officials make promises they think will get them elected. They promise jobs. They promise tough on crime policies. They promise a goose in every pot.
I saw the Sarah Palin news conference where she announced she was resigning as governor of Alaska. She spoke clearly and eloquently about her reasons and her goals. However, I instinctually knew that many where going to dedicate themselves at fighting her every step of the way.
From the commentary on the conservative talk shows, it appears I was right. I listened to Bill Bennett and Laura Ingraham today. Rush Limbaugh is off the whole week playing golf. On Bennett’s morning in America talk radio show Palin was get the majority support from callers. Bennett was reserved in his commentary. Byron York was working hard at making Sarah Palin look bad, in my opinion.
It is my opinion that the majority of resistance to Sarah Palin will come from the republicans and conservatives. I expected Laura Ingraham to be her usual petty, vindictive, and crass self. She did not disappointment me. With one side of her mouth, she would speak in favor of Palin while smirking with the other side. At home, I can to the revelation that Ms. Ingraham’s attitude towards Palin has to do with Laura’s emotional support for Rommey.
Either way, I think enough is enough. I am tired of elitists’ snobs telling us that the status quo is the standard to reach. The status quo is entrenched power turning its back on the electorate. I find much of the criticism of Palin as coming from insider politicians who do not want an outsider to ruin it for them.
Let me speak clearly. We are at war. The principals that truly contribute to personal success are under attack.
