Something Wrong with America

by Moses Merlin in Government, October 22, 2008

Ideology of the American government and why of life.

There is something wrong with America today. Lets start with the economic system; every one working so hard for rectangular pieces of green paper. Every one made to feel alright living in middle class America. The government makes us feel that life is easy; if you get in trouble, you can just borrow money. You only have to pay it back in triple. People’s hours decrease and their wages go up; blinded by the simplicity of life unaware of the wool that is being pulled over their eyes. The further we stray away from the truth and stop resisting; we are made to realize that what really matters is popularity broadcasted on television. News shows and reality television based on populous America made to make the 90% of America live in a trance. As our life style becomes easier the more we are focused on entertainment, instead of the corporate machine that is controlling us like sheep in a well constructed pin.

Isn’t it about time for the central government to start giving up some of its power? We are taught in school about the weak government that started this country off and how it was such a disaster. Every time a major event happens, the government gains more power. Am I the only one who sees the relationship here? As the government gains power we are reassured that we are still living in a democracy. This is the biggest lie of them all, in a true democracy, their wouldn’t be a need for representation. If everyone had an equal say on political issues, why would we need a two party system? Aristotle feared the own democracy that he helped create, because of the mob. In the information age, I do not believe we have to worry about the mobs presences. The big wheels that spin in the government office don’t want to see the release of mass communication. America feels it can control the internet, encoding it in the English language, hiding the truth of the real world from the sheep that live inside the American pin. The government regulates the speed of the internet, tracking the progression of information. The government doesn’t feel safe having a population as smart as the select that run it. “Stop them now, before they eat from the tree of life and become one of us.” We have tasted from the tree of knowledge that is the internet and by doing so planted seeds for a revolution.

Uniting America is not going to be the job of political official; it has to be done by one of its citizens. In order to see the troubles that face the world, you must first open your eyes to all that surrounds you. This brings me to the big problem behind the American people, their focus on insignificant means. America was created on the principle of bettering oneself. We only work for a pay check now days. Most people feel repressed by the larger corporate business; most hopes and dreams are crushed before they even take flight. The American people have a hard time accepting sacrifice. “The needs of the many out way the needs of the few;” if we go on living with America as it is today, we will end up destroying the wonderful planet we live on. America has been surpassed by third world countries in math and science. This is going virtual unchallenged in America were the schools are getting easier and easier while material is being cut from the text books; America fears a smart populist, a populist that could awaken and realize the big picture. The big picture that only a few people are controlling the world and the only thing they care about is more money and power; people who are not playing by the rules abusing the southern gentlemen in believing that theirs is the moral path, confusing the northerners that there is such thing as a two party system.

We must unite together if we are to evolve from the pathetic state of existences that we leave in today. People living for themselves with no care for others when they should be focusing on bettering them selves; instead of being fooled by money in power, two things that will never achieve, are help toward, the “pursuit of happiness.” There is something wrong with the world today; I ask you “America,” awake! And follow me!

A concerned American…
