Eminem is notable for his controversial lyrics and use of very obscene languages in most of his songs. But he took things too far seemingly on his fourth album entitled ‘Encore’
This album – a chart topper was released in 2004 and contained a lot of controversial songs as usual, but one of the songs on the albums went too far as to threat the then President of the United States of America.
The song in question is entitled “We As Americans” and it was placed on a bonus CD that accompanied the hit album ‘Encore’
The Media Research Center stated that in late 2003 the United States Secret Service looked into allegations that Eminem had threatened the United States President.
Eminem was under serious scrutiny from the Secret Service of the United States over the following lyrics that he sang in the song:
“I don’t rap for dead presidents
I’d rather see the president dead
It’s never been said
but I set precedents”
Eminem however got off the hook with these lyrics.
The album ‘Encore’ went on to sell millions of copies worldwide.
Eminem is no doubt the most controversial rapper of all time.
