The Bush Debate

What do people have against former President Bush? This is a debate.

I know President Bush was a not liked person of the Republican party, but why was there so much reluctancy and turmoil once he had won his second election in 2004? He was our president. He did an excellent job at running the country and if he was allowed to run again, I bet he’d do twice as well as he has done in the past.

Why is there so much disrespect for this guy? The TV show Family Guy portrayed him as an idiot in a few of their episodes, and there are many movies based on him that make fun of him and ridicule him in wrong ways. He was our President. The leader of the country. Why did people have to ridicule him as if he was some amateur polition, and not give him the respect and credit that was due for his job position?

He won the 2004 election fair and square, and if you don’t know how he did so by having fewer votes on the population scale than on the electoral scale then you should do some research on the electoral college (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electoral_college).

He may have allowed our involvement with the Iraqi war, but he sure didn’t start it, and he didn’t have the power to do so either, as listed in the Constitution of the United States.

So this is my question to you, did you like our former President or not? If not then why?

I liked him, and I don’t find too much fault in his presidency and in what he did during his two terms. This is a debate so please reply.
