The Canadian Taxpayer’s Federation Comes Out Against EI After an Abortion, Regardless of Cause
While I have often been a fan of the Canadian Taxpayer’s Federation, they have posted an article suggesting that they have no understanding of any of the issues on this subject other than that they want to save money.

Thanks for always being by my side hon. You’re the best husband and I appreciate you always.
I think part of the problem is the terminology used — for example, when our son Kye passed in utero and was not miscarried “naturally”, it is called a missed abortion. This is anything but an abortion. I think that the whole medical terminology has to change as well as people’s perceptions and judgments. After all, you can’t judge until you’ve walked that mile, right?

How upsetting that people still have such a wrong view of abortion issues. I hope your article opens some eyes.

I think that if a woman chooses to have an abortion that is her decision. Who are you to point the finger and decide that their grief does not constitute legite EI? You have no right to judge , you don\’t know why the woman is doing it and really it is none of your business. You are not the one taking on the stress and grief of having to deal with that for the rest of your life. Regardless of what the situation is for the abortion it is not an easy one for any women. So who are you to judge?
