The Constitution of the United States Rephrased

Amendments one to 27 of the Constitution of the United States rephrased.

Amendment 1:

The government can not claim that they all are a certain religion. The use of freedom of speech, or freedom of the press can not be prohibited.

Amendment 2:

The people of the United States have the right to own/hold weapons. These weapons also include guns.

Amendment 3:

During any time day or night a soldier can not take over a citizens house. Nor during war a soldier can not live in a citizens house. Only if it is prescribed by the law they can live in a citizens house.

Amendment 4:

The people have the right to their own privacy. If there is a warrant for searches of ones space then it is acceptable.If someone claimed that their neighbor was holding drugs the neighbor has the right to not let the police in his/her house without a permit.

Amendment 5:

No person can be interrogated for someones else’s crimes. This can only be done if the matter has to do with militia attacks. Such as an American knowing something about a future terrorist attack.

Amendment 6:

The accused in a crime has the right to a fast and open prosecution. The accused has the right of knowing who the jury is and what he/she is being accused of. The accused in the case can request to meet with the witness.

Amendment 7:

The people picked out for the jury can denie the juy case if not payed more then twenty dollars.

Amendment 8:

A large amount of money should not be used for bail. Over payed fines and unusual punishment can not be used.

Amendment 9:

The list in the constitution should not be over ridden or excluded from the constitution.

Amendment 10:

The amendments in the constitution that are not for the United States itself is given as a right to all citizens of the states.

Amendment 12:

If you are voting for a president that president can not be in the same state as you. The president of the senate should open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted in front of Senate and House of Representatives. The president with the highest vote count should become president. Now if the president where to die the senate has the right to bring up the vice president as the new president.

Amendment 13:

There should be no acceptance of slavery unless its given as a crime. Only thing that will bypass this is if someone is given community service. Then the use of slavery is accepted in the united states.

Amendment 14:

If born in the United States you are considered a citizen. No law or crime should not consider you as a citizen. All citizens born in the united states are in equal protection of the law.

All people should vote by the age of twenty-one. You can not vote if its in acts of rebellion or crime.

No person should be elected presient or vice-president if they have taken an oath in congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State. But congress can remove such thing with a 2/3’s vote.

Amendment 15:

The right to vote can not be taken away just because of color, race, or previous acts in crime. Congress will enforce this article.

Amendment 16:

Congress can collect taxes for whatever reason. To collect the taxes they need no census or enumerations permission to grant this.

Amendment 17:

The senate of the United States should be chosen from 2 senates of the state. This should be voted by the people for six years. If there is any vacancies in the senate the executive authority can fill in that spot.

Amendment 18:

If ratified all making and use of alcoholic liquor is prohibited in the united states. This amendment shall not take place unless voted by many states of the senate.

Amendment 19:

No matter what sex you are you do have the right to vote. No state can take that privilege away from you.

Amendment 20:

By January 20th both a president and vice-president should be elected. Congress should have a meeting every year on January 3rd unless agreed to change the date. If the president elected where to die by January the 3rd the vice-president now becomes the new president of the united states.

Amendment 21:

The movement or making of any toxic liquor is not allowed in all states.

Amendment 22:

No one can be president for more then 2 terms.These 2 terms are equal to 4 years of being president.

The vote of a person can not be rejected. The only time the vote should be rejected is if the person does pay their taxes.

Amendment 25:

If the president dies in office the vice president will become president. Only if there is no vice-president in office then can the president assign someone to vice president. The vice president and other people in the state have the right to vote the current president out of the office. Then the vice president will take the new seat in office as president

Amendment 26:

If you are 18 or older your right to vote will not be denied.

Amendment 27:

No law should be passed unless a representative had intervened the law.
