Southern white politicians says it more. We need to keep the federal government out off local and state government business. That the federal government has gotten to powerful over the years. But if you trace the power structure of the federal power.
We citizens gave it to them by the decision that was made. During the murder of the three civil rights workers in Mississippi, the federal government wasn’t that powerful then. They gave the local segregationist government chances to look and solved those murders and all they and the citizens did was cover up the killings.
It took some wheeling and dealing. And the determination of the Federal Bureau , to step in and get to the bottom of it. And it important to always remember. We make rules and regulation from the error in good judgement to follow guideline before any federal government branch gets involved.
We make the federal unit of government powerful. We make them strong enough to carry out good judgement.
