Totalitarianism Means Never Having to be Unfair

Totalitarianists in government power never need say they were unfair. That isn’t right, so we still enjoy a fair replica of democracy at least in the U.S.A.

Totalitarianism is the absolute power of the state. If, like the Sun King, our ruler says L’etat c’est mois’ then our monarch may be a totalitarian. On the other hand is the Queen is such as rules benevolent a nation such as England, she fails the test of totalitarian. Totalitarianism as a fair condition to be in is a political horse of a different color–if a national democracy borrows trillions and defaults on its debt so its military can’t borrow more and a foreign army moves in as a collection agency and exerts totalitarian control stripping like a plague of locusts every transportable thing to another continent is that fair? If I lived in the creditor nation I might say yes, and have a contrary onion in the debtor nation.

Democracy typically collapses into tyranny because the people are not intellectual strong enough to run their national affairs well. They may even name their own poison and elect a dictator or Caesar to be their popular leader to overcome the exploitation by Republican elites or aristocrats. Such was the case in Republican Rome as well as in Weimar Germany where elites conversely supported the popular dictator in order to recover control lost to the masses following the 1918 Germen revolution.

Totalitarianism may  evolve within corporatist paradigms as a silent repression of individual political liberty to express ideas grows. Internet writing sites are a liberating tool for writers, yet not when corporations buy them up to repress expression with onerous new policies enforcing corporate ethics.  Intelligent corporate executives must suppress intelligent political expressions that are not sycophantic or be dismissed with prejudice by the network of global corporate power. Totalitarian may have a soft yet effective face such that even its inmate-citizens believe they exist in a democratic society. The likeliest eventual course of radical economic redistribution of wealth concentrating financial power in the rich is an eventual economic collapse and depression or termination of the social existence of the nominal state authority.

When totalitarianism has evolved with the acquiescence of the people it has could be regarded from a distance beyond the boundaries of the state perhaps as unfair, yet within such a social environment expressions of dissent would be adversely reinforced. Positive reinforcement awaits the better role models of subordination the growing totalitarian state while adverse conditioning awaits the dissidents and bad role models.

Totalitarian states are concerned with increasing power and the erasure of opposition. They are comparable to a political gravitational slippery slope field collapse of a solar system into a black hole. Perhaps with enough consolidation of political mass the quantum conditions at the core will become explosively repulsive and phase shift the compacted condition of civilization into a black hole nova-like expansion. That perhaps would be the fairest thing to occur.
