True Leaders Inspire The Spirit and That Made Them Great

True leaders could speak beyond our fears of dying and speak directly to our souls, that part of us that is powerful and invincible.

From my old clippings and from Wikipedia records I found the following fourteen interesting and meaningful words spoken by great leaders – words that go beyond our doubts and fears and speak to our spirits. These words will touch our souls and many are recorded in history.

  • “Try not to become a man of success but rather try to become a man of value.” Spoken by Albert Einstein
  • “My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me.” Spoken by Henry Ford
  • “Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.” Spoken by John Wooden
  • “Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren’t.” Spoken by Margaret Thatcher
  • “Don’t be humble; you’re not that great.” Spoken by Golda Meir
  • “Cowards can never be moral.” Spoken by Gandhi
  • “Only our individual faith in freedom can keep us free.” Spoken by Dwight Eisenhower
  • “Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.” Spoken by Vince Lombardi
  • “I have a dream…” Spoken by Martin Luther King
  • “Ask not what your country can do for you…” Spoken by John F. Kennedy
  • “You cannot hold a man down without staying down with him.” Spoken by Booker T. Washington
  • “Four score and seven years ago.” And also, “Am I not destroying my enemies when I make friends of them?” Spoken by Abraham Lincoln
  • “Give me liberty or give me death.” Spoken by Patrick Henry
  • “The time is near at hand which must determine whether Americans are to be free or to be slaves.” Spoken by George Washington

Albert Einstein from14 March 1879 to 18 April 1955 was a German-born theoretical physicist who developed the theory of general relativity, affecting a revolution in physics. For this achievement, Einstein was often regarded as the father of modern physics and one of the most prolific intellects in human history. He received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics “for his services to theoretical physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect.”

“Don’t be humble; you’re not that great.”
    This seems sarcastic. :-)
