Urine, The Health Drink You Were Unaware of
You will be staggered to find that what you pee, when you visit the urinal, is anything but nasty.
It is hardly the most pleasant of topics, but when it comes to human waste products, urine probably has a much worse name than it really deserves. You could be forgiven for feeling that, what streams out of your body represents toxic waste, but you really do need to think again. From a health point of view, putting some of it into a glass ,and drinking it right back down again, is no bad thing at all. For over 5,000 years now, this has been seen as normal in India and China, and despite our natural revulsion, is slowly catching on in the west as well.
A by-product of blood filtration, rather than waste, urine is not toxic, or in any way unclean. Referred to as “plasma ultrafiltrate” by the medical profession, urine is actually purified blood derivatives, produced by the kidneys, which principally function as regulators, of all that is contained within the blood, this product can actually be compared to the leftovers from a meal.
Nutrient-rich blood passes through the liver, which removes all toxins, to be later excreted as solid waste. The ‘cleaned’”clean” blood thenhas to pass through the filtration system of the kidneys, excess water, along with salts, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and many other element, not required for use by the body at that time, form the purified, watery solution that is urine, which is completely sterile.
Designed specifically to keep the various elements in the blood balanced, the kidneys perform a vital function, filtering out important elements not because they are toxic, and thus harmful, but simply because the body does not need a particular element at that specific moment. This regulatory process is what allows humans to eat and drink, often more than our bodies really need, at any one time.
Urine then, is actually a sterile, living foodstuff, packed with enzymes and chemicals unique to the person involved. As individual as any fingerprint, in that no two people could ever have the same ingredients in their urine, anymore than matching fingerprints. Many of the substances that are contained within urine are unknown to science, though ongoing research has identified some substances proving very valuable to the medical profession.
Human bodies continuously produce huge varieties of natural chemicals, hormones and enzymes, which, when used again, can behave like natural vaccines, as well agents with antibacterial, antiviral and anti-carcinogenic properties, plus allergy relieving and hormone balancing effects. Information contained within any individual’s urine cannot be duplicated, or derived from any other source, making it invaluable, in reality

You are correct. In old ayurvedic treatment this is mentioned. Ex prime minister of India Mr Morarji Deshai used to take own urine for some health affair, we heard in our childhood.

You reminded me of a true story I read years ago (at least 20-25) about the wife of a Rabbi who was lost in the holy land dessert and lived for three days or so drinking her urine and it saved her life. I hadn’t thought about that in years and I am wondering if anyone recalls that — that is, how well know was that story. Regardless, your article is believeable! I don’t need eyewitnesses!

Hi Toni
I find that very interesting and to some point not surprise.
From little that I know growing as teen in Europe it is known
Fact that old aristocrats female used Urine to wash they faces
to keep them looking young and beautiful this is part of History
which not many people are aware of. Growing in Europe as a kid
it is also known fact, falling down getting cut or scratched
I have being told many times to pee on it that sterilizes abrasion
and promote heeling.
