Urine, The Health Drink You Were Unaware of
You will be staggered to find that what you pee, when you visit the urinal, is anything but nasty.
Urea, at one time considered the poisonous, organic solid in urine, is now known to be converted into an essential amino acid, helping our bodies more efficiently use protein, and it has also been proven that urea is a very effective antibacterial and antiviral agent, a superb natural diuretic, as well as being one of the most effective skin moisturisers ever discovered, actually increasing water-binding capacity of the skin, by attracting moisture to dry skin cells. Widely prescribed in cases of oedema or swelling, glaucoma, epilepsy and meningitis, Urea is a truly useful medicine.
Even uric acid, normally regarded as waste, that can cause gout, has huge medicinal implications, like acting as an anti-ageing treatment, by actively destroying free radicals. An enzyme also found in urine, Urinokase, is also employed, in drug form, to dissolve blood clots and for clearing coronary arteries in heart attack voictims. Mysterious still, in many ways, the healing properties of urine are still not fullyunderstood, by scientists.
History recalls that Vikings kept a bucketful of urine, by the house doorway, because it could be used as a powerful antiseptic, and16th century artillery soldiers had it handy, for instantly treating powder burns. 3 million Chinese regularly use urine for good health, bathing in it to treat skin infections, drinking it to get at all the goodness it contains, and even using it for eye drops, when required.
95% composed of water, the other 5% being composed of Urea and salts, ingesting urine is not recommended, at least not for smokers or heavy drinkers. The human body, in actual fact, needs far less nourishment than we tend to eat, and the excess cannot all be stored as fat.
Mix the urine with fresh orange juice, and ignore the smell, if you decide to try it out. Nothing more, really than a highly condensed soup, of all the things your body needs, but was unable to use at the time, urine definitely does not deserve the bad reputation. Taking the piss can mean making fun of somebody, but it could mean re-charging your bodily batteries, with stuff you could not use first time round. Who knows, it might help you cut down on the food bills!

You are correct. In old ayurvedic treatment this is mentioned. Ex prime minister of India Mr Morarji Deshai used to take own urine for some health affair, we heard in our childhood.

You reminded me of a true story I read years ago (at least 20-25) about the wife of a Rabbi who was lost in the holy land dessert and lived for three days or so drinking her urine and it saved her life. I hadn’t thought about that in years and I am wondering if anyone recalls that — that is, how well know was that story. Regardless, your article is believeable! I don’t need eyewitnesses!

Hi Toni
I find that very interesting and to some point not surprise.
From little that I know growing as teen in Europe it is known
Fact that old aristocrats female used Urine to wash they faces
to keep them looking young and beautiful this is part of History
which not many people are aware of. Growing in Europe as a kid
it is also known fact, falling down getting cut or scratched
I have being told many times to pee on it that sterilizes abrasion
and promote heeling.
