What You Don’t Know Won’t Hurt

Government lies, conspiracies, and corruption.

For many years, the government has been accused of lies, conspiracies, and corruption. There are a few people that dedicate their whole lives trying to prove these acquisitions true. There are a lot of unanswered questions. The biggest question is: Why?

A conspiracy is an agreement between a group of people to commit illegal acts. Conspiracies have taken place since the beginning of colonization. In World War 2, a group of people in the Nazi Germany Army have drawn up a plan to assassinate Adolf Hitler. They called it Operation Valkyrie. Although the plan was a failure, They were so quiet, no one knew about it. The plan failed because the explosives where not close enough to Hitler. Their plan soon unraveled and the conspirators where arrested and killed.

People being dishonest for personal gain are corrupt. A police officer taking a bribe can be called corrupt. When a President is elected, the public expect the president to live up to his promises and duties. If the president does not, people start to question. Is the presidency corrupt? Was it invented just to treat the elect like a king for four years? Is the president a Capitalist? The President gets all kinds of free stuff. This would be an example of corruption.

If you lie about something, you are being deliberately untrue. A lie can be a truth, but not the whole truth. You see a commercial on TV about a product. The company has agreed to let you use the product for free. Why do they ask for credit card information? They did not mention the shipping and handling charges. Bill Clinton lied on TV once. He was being accused of cheating on Hillary Clinton. He said, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman.” The woman who was accused of cheating with former president Clinton told the truth. The truth then spread.

Lies, conspiracies, and corruption come together. Some things are safer not to know. The government does things in a way for our best interest. Sometimes the plans are spoiled by war, or even by a group of people that find out, and think it is a bad idea. The question is… Can you handle the truth? You will soon find out what you don’t know, won’t hurt.
