Why Freedom is So Important

It is very important in our daily lives. People might not think of this topic at all, but what would it be if you lived in a country with little or no freedom?

The Right to be Free

Do I hear millions of children crying? Big explosions from bombs? Shots being fired and people dying? What do all of these sounds have in common? Well, they’re all from places with little or no freedom and violence happening due to this issue. Freedom gives you the right vote, speak, move, religion, culture, and expressing your own thoughts. Without it, people live in poverty, violence happens very often, and governments even collapse in some extreme cases.

People in places without freedom are very unhappy because they’re being controlled by other people and many of them gets brainwashed by the government. Many people are arrested for arguing with the government or trying to express their own thoughts just because they want their lives and country to be better.

Freedom can determine a person’s behavior. I can tell the difference between a person living in freedom and a person that’s not; everyone wants to live in a free world. However, not everyone can. How would you feel if you were controlled by someone else and you do not have the right to do the things you want? Well, you wouldn’t like that at all.

We live in a developed and free nation, and we often take our freedom for granted. No matter how much you and I complain about our rights, it’ll always be better than someone living in a war zone without any rights. We would never fear that the next morning, you will be treated like an animal and have all personal possessions taken away. Not everyone goes to bed worry-free though because about a third of the world’s population lives in a country with barely or no human rights. That’s why we should not take our freedom for granted.

Freedom means to me is that people should be treated like people and not like animals. We shouldn’t put an electronic chip in the brains of others to trace their exact location or torture anybody because people should have the right to live freely anywhere.

I really liked how you said people shouldn’t be treated like animals, but there is more things about freedom which is liberty. Next time you write another article try defining liberty to us. I think you should be a writer. This is the best thing I ever saw and read in the whole world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love your article! You know how to express what feelings you have for us. Anyway, who does like to be treated an animal? That’s an idiotic question. Am I right?

this article is absolute crap. It doesnt answer the question, it presuposes so many things, and from youre writing id assume you were in 4th grade. Let me start by saying that you dont have freedom and true freedom is impossible. Today in your “civilized” society you are less free than the people in Those war zones you spoke of. Our society is structured around various hiarchies capitalism, government, time, and space are all restrictive o your freedoms. Every time you are forced to obey a law or submit to a higher authority you are freedomless. Even if we remove all of these things from our lives we still obey the basic laws of nature which also restrict our freedom. People living in a war zone come the closest to freedom because all they need to obey are the rules of survival. Have you ever considered that the so cqalled “freedom” presented to you is your governments way of brainwashing you? Freedom is only to be found in new experiances and new transformations so to experiance freedom one needs to have the ability to constantly destroy and recreate oneself.
