You Have Been Warned
This is your warning. Are you going to heed it?

I stumbled upon this picture this evening. There was no mark of ownership and no website it had come from. The picture was just there, floating in cyber-space and it I found it. Now I want to share it with you.
I’ve been forced to ask myself a question recently. That question is “Am I writing to convert other people to my way of thinking? Am I trying to make anarchists out of people?” The answer is yes. I have an agenda and my agenda is to rally the people against their governments, their leaders, their kings and their oppressors. I want to see some people gather under a black flag and rise up against those people who rule over them without caring about them. Am I a preacher? Am I trying to tell you what to think? In a way I certainly am.
On the other hand I am doing something else. I am doing something more important and when faced with the unfortunate truth of what I’ve been doing it is this something that makes me keep going. Out of a hundred people who come along and read about anarchy I don’t expect one of them to start agreeing with me. If I get a thousand people to read and one of them decides they agree with me then that’s more than I’m expecting. But there’s something else I want and it’s much more important.
I want you to think. When I call the government a rotting, maggot ridden, putrid corpse of a monument then I’m doing it to shock and disgust you and then I want you to think. I want you to think about why it’s disgusted you and then I want you to think about why someone would say that and if there’s any truth in it. I want you to disagree with me and I want you to think about why you disagree with me. After that I want you to keep thinking about everything you do and why you do it. I want to make you question everything right down to why you tie your shoes.
Only then will things move along and if your thoughts lead you to anarchy, then they did me, then I’ll be happy because I achieved my goals. If it doesn’t lead you to anarchy but to your own ideas and your own beliefs and your own opinions then I may not have done what I set out to do but I did something much greater. The real accomplishment of my life will not be raising an army of anarchists or bringing down the government. I don’t want it to be any more than I want you to believe me just because I’ve got some Internet opinion pieces or because I say some things in them once in a while which sound strong or reasonable or correct. Don’t let the government spoon feed you your thoughts, don’t let the media spoon feed you your thoughts and certainly don’t let me spoon feed you your thoughts.

People call me a radical for thinking like you. lol. I see the situation exactly like you said it. I once read a story where a man from Cuba had said, ” I love my country, but I hate my government.” It is really sad that citizens have to feel that way. Our Government is suppose to represent the people, and look out for their best interest, but it is like we become the enemy of our government, instead of being taken care of.
I like the way you describe the leaf on the river. We are so programed by our government, that we are afraid to stand up for what we believe in. FEAR is also a tool the government uses to control the masses. We are told all sorts of political lies, and we are afraid not to believe them. The government has way to much power and control. They only have their own best interest in mind when they sacrifice our soldiers in wars, and put the poor into prison on trumped up lies, and set ups. Land of Freedom???????????
