116 Dead in Hurricanes in America

The death toll rose by a series of hurricanes that hit the state of Missouri in central U.S. the past two days to 116 dead and more than a thousand injured.

The authorities say the city of Joplin, which lies a few kilometers from Kansas and Oklahoma was the biggest victim of the hurricane, which reached a speed of 320 kilometers per hour, where the right mass to be between 25 and 30% of the area.

The reports said that most of the victims were in the small town which is inhabited by about fifty thousand people, which seemed like a war after the hurricane, which uprooted electricity poles and trees, and about as many cars into a heap of metal.

And seven were states in central and northern United States for more than sixty hurricanes during the past two days, according to the U.S. Center for weather conditions. But the hurricane that hit Joplin was the deadliest since a long time.

The President Barack Obama, who was on his way to start a European tour, offered his condolences to the families of victims, stressing the readiness of the federal government to assist the victims.

The series of hurricanes hit areas in south-eastern United States early May this, and left 354 people dead as well as material damage.
