The story about Garry Hoy plunging through a Toronto-Dominion skyscaper window is very true.

I worked on the 30th floor of a neighbouring office tower. On the evening of the accident, I was walking, along with hundreds of other commuters, towards the train station, when we all heard a loud crash behind us. I was late for the train, so I continued on. Of course, the next day I heard the shocking news.

By the way, the story is not completely accurate. Garry Hoy did prove a point: the window pane did not shatter. The entire floor-to-ceiling pane popped out of the frame.

wasn’t one of the CSI epasodes based on Jonaathan Burton’s death? Unless none of you watch CSI then i am totally alone on this one lol.

Someone should have been charged for Jonathan Burton’s death. A 19 year old kid gets beaten to death by a group of 8 and nothing happens? Give me a break.

Why so much force to subdue him anyway? It was obviously too much! Idiots.

I’ve watched “Open Water” and heard about the “wee for wii contest”. This article shows that death can get you anytime and sometimes in the most foolish manner.

These are some pretty bizarre ways to die. Open Water gives whole new meaning to keeping lists of students/passengers/guests at any event.

Some unbelievable stuff! I’ve seen ‘Open Water’ and it is pretty scary, even more so as it’s true. Not sure about the ‘wee for wii’ contest, how bizarre! Thanks for sharing these.
