9/11: The Aftermath
The events of that day will live forever in infamy, and the wars that we are fighting because of this day will haunt us for many a year to come.
On September 11th 2001, the United States experienced something that it has not experienced sense the early 1800s – an attack on U.S. soil. The attack came in a covert and un-orthodox way with a few subtle plane hijackings, but the results of those hijackings were anything but that. With the destruction of two U.S. landmarks, and damage to another, the effects of that day will be felt forever, not just here but everywhere in the world.
The events of that day would also catapult the U.S. into a war with two countries in the Middle East – Iraq and Afghanistan. This event, would cause the death of thousands of innocent civilians and for many others, it will be a day that lives forever in infamy. For many, this day brings to mind images of death and destruction, and for others it was a wake up call for America to start taking an active role in protecting itself and its interests at home and abroad. Whatever your opinion on this matter is, 9/11 will be an event that will live in the minds of many for many years to come and will never be forgotten.

A nicely written piece. I’m afraid I have to debate though that any ‘terrorist’ was involved in this at all…
I think the world has simply had the wool pulled over it’s eyes once more, just as was done in The Great War, The Great Depression, World War II, Oklahoma….
if you’re at all interested, this film is well worth watching….
