A Brief History of Pakistan
In this article I will give a short history of Pakistan, in which we will see how a strong-minded group of people led to the creation of a country worth being proud of.
1947 to 2009:
The great Quaid could not enjoy his victory for long, as he died in 1948. His loss was a tremendous one to Pakistan and the foundations of this country were shaken. Several mistakes followed and the death of Liaquat Ali Khan also came shortly. Things were not looking good in Pakistan. Bhutto arrived in politics in the 1960s. In 1971 Bengal got separated from Pakistan. Bhutto became President soon and ruled greatly. However, Zia-ul-Haq came into politics and hanged Bhutto some years later. Chaos ensued and Zia died in a plane crash. Benazir Bhutto (daughter of Bhutto) became a good leader but was assassinated too in Rawalpindi in the 2000s.

A suitable President, Parwez Musharraf resigned from his seat. Elections arrived shortly and Zardari became the President. The arrival of Taliban in Pakistan was a serious blow to the country, and many lives were lost due to this group. Suicide bombings, power failures and basically chaos followed shortly. At the moment Pakistan is in the hands of President Zardari and who knows what will happen soon.
Conclusion:
It is very shocking to see such struggle go to waste. Pakistan is a brilliant country. Pakistanis, on the other hand, have not demonstrated their abilities. The Quaid’s blood flows in our veins. We can produce miracles. Why aren’t we? Akbar, Sir Syed, even Bhutto were amazing personalities. We are their result. As Pakistanis, why fight? Why not be clear-minded and sacrifice for the greater cause? It is heartbreaking to see such foundations go to waste. Do not let it go to waste, fellow Pakistanis. Let this article be the beginning of many contributions. Don’t hesitate in helping this well thought out nation. I end this article with the famous words, “Long Live Pakistan.”
