Hi Alixander, thanks for this great overview of Phil journalism. Am looking for more info on Wenceslao Retana and his attitudes to newspapers of his day. I saw you translated part of his El periodismo filipino, esp. with regard to El Trovador. Do you have other translations of Retana’s newspaper reviews? I am researching Retana’s biography. Thanks for any help!
