Aborigine Massacres
The Bathurst massacre occurred when seven Europeans were killed by aboriginals. Due to martial law, 100 aboriginal people were killed.
In 1930 a bunch of Aboriginals were killed when they were accused of braking into a house and stealing some items. More aboriginals were killed in later days because of actions taken.
Convincing Ground Massacre took place on the coast of Victoria. This was one of the largest recorded massacres in Victoria. Whalers and Kilcarer Gunditjmara people were massacred when they argued over land.
In the battle of pinjarra records state that 14 aboriginals were killed but aboriginal accounts put the figure much higher.
The Mayall creek massacre happened in New South Wales in 1938. 28 aboriginal people were killed. This was the first massacre in which Europeans were trialled. They were found guilty and hung.
Another attack occurred in 1838. Aboriginals attacked Europeans searching for new land. 1 aboriginal and 13 Europeans were killed. Later attacks occurred and as a result more then 250 aboriginals ended up dead. According to aboriginals they attacked the Europeans because they were fired at first.
The wonnerrup massacre was a major massacre. It started when an aboriginal man speared a white man. As a result wild men rode through the bush killing over 250 people.
There were many attacks and massacre were aboriginals were killed. Over 300 people were killed over the next couple of years. Both aboriginals and Europeans. Massacres have taken place in places like Rufus River, Richmond River, Arnhem Land.
