Afghanistan is a very poor country in south Asia. Its border countries are China, Iran, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Its geographic coordination’s on a map are 33 00N, 65 00E.

The economy of Afghanistan has improved greatly over the last 2 years because of over 2billion dollars in international assistance and the end of a four year drought. It still remains one of the poorest countries in the world but it is expected that it will greatly improve by the end of the decade.

People

The population of Afghanistan is 28513677 people. The life expectancy is very low. 42.46 for women and 42.27 for men. The main religion in Afghanistan is Sunni Muslim (80%). There is a variety of different languages spoken in Afghanistan. Pashtu, afghan Persian and Turkic along with 30 other minor languages.
