America’s July 4th

Each country has its own history to tell. May it be good or bad, what happened in the past is now a chronicle. What we can do to honor the past is to continue celebrating the events that have been very significant to many people and fully relive the past deep in each person’s heart. Celebrating independence is like living the moment when it was used to be free from colonization and it really entails for a break off from work.

Why July 4th? Well, it wasn’t originally on that date. It was supposed to be on July 2 of 1776 when the Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence under Charles Thompson and John Hancock. A lot of people viewed this as a façade to the British government.

John Adams expressed about this declaration as “dress and ornament rather than Body, Soul, or Substance”. Excluding the last paragraph which addressed to the united colonies “are and of right out to be free and independent states” and were “absolved of all allegiance to the British Crown”. For him it was the peak for American independence. On July 4, 1776, the documents were approved and so as it is. And on the same day the following year, they celebrated their first elaborate organized Independence Day.

There are various events that are celebrated by America but this Independence Day marks the major celebration of the state. It is celebrated through singing the National Anthem, hosting a party, going to the park that includes a little picnic.

Decorations are arranged with primary colors of red, white and blue, which are the colors of the American Flag. The colors red are said to bring joy and glee. White symbolizes peace and unity among Americans. Blue represents freedom from the spell of other countries or colonizers.

Parades are organized usually in the morning in commemoration of the day’s celebration. Through these parades, Americans can appreciate their independence more by gathering a crowd of people howling around a block, waving tiny American flags and raising their voices together. What more could you ask?

At night, grand fireworks or pyrotechnic displays are shown for the public. This signifies a big celebration. Also, it enables the people to face up high in the sky and thank the Lord for giving them the freedom that they are enjoying right now. Also, colorful shades blast in lieu with the celebration for an endearment success of the state up to this present day.

While the public is enjoying the show, most police authorities are very vigilant on this day to protect their countrymen from any harm and for certain security reasons. This is where patriotism takes a very great significant role on all of the Americans. To top it all, independence should be celebrated from person to person cherishing every moment of that and be thankful enough to enjoy all the benefit and advantage that was gained as compared to that of centuries ago when Americans are doomed under the British rule.
