America vs. China: Who Will Win The Third World War?

There are two super powers currently, the US claiming military super-stardom while China takes the economic mantle. this fight has been brought to my dashboard by fans from the two super powers. Who will win the third world war?

Americans and Chinese have been fighting since time immemorial. They first fought seriously after the Second World War in Korea where the US was beaten by China hands down. The same battle for supremacy was transferred to Vietnam where the US also lost with terrible consequences.

Chairman Mao is remembered to have quipped that even if ten million Chinese succumbed during a nuclear war, there would still be enough Chinese to win the war, and I think he was right. To win a war, you not only need arms, more arms, and more arms but people as well. China currently has a population that stands at more than four times that of the US. Who would win the third world war given this fact?

While previous wars have been fought on the basis of military power, the third world war promises to be an economic affair with China on one hand and the US together with its side kicks on the other. Currently, China has everything going for it and the US has every reason to be afraid, very afraid.

The third world war has now been transferred to my dashboard thanks to the Traffic Geo Distribution feature that was introduced a month ago by Triond. The US currently has an edge, this morning reaching the 50% mark for the first time since the introduction of this feature.

Despite English not being the first language for the Chinese, they have an impressive showing on my dashboard with 10% which is more than Australia, Canada and Singapore. The only countries with a better showing are the traditional Englishmen in the United Kingdom (11%) and India, mighty India (11%).

Who will win the third world war? As far as the economic power is concerned, China is growing exponentially buoyed by a huge domestic market and cheap labor while America seems to have stagnated. When it comes to my dashboard, the Chinese have been vanquished.

China comes in 3rd in my dashboard. I guess it’s because some of my articles talk about the Chinese martial arts. Globally, I think the sleeping giant, that is China is very much awake and aggressive. The East is rising.

Now in my opinion in the next 5 years America are probably going to start an immense empire like Britain did several hundred years ago. But then they’re going to become a very unpopular society for taking everyone down so they’ll better their ways and then someone else cocky enough to rule will have a go at it!

    That’s usually how things happen…

America leads by a mile in my dashboard, but we couldn’t tell. China sports the tag “The Sleeping Giant”, perhaps in the near future they may also invade Triond. lol

America has the lead, but their piece of the pie is fast diminishing. Thanks to India and the eastern tigers. Kind of like the global economy

China does not appear at all on my dashboard. England has a massive lead. This is a really interesting post and it made me look at my traffic Geo Distribution chart for the first time. I never even noticed it before.

There are about 1,580, 255 active military personnel in the American Army, 864,547 make up the reserve force and 11, 035 are the paramilitary giving, a total strength of 2,455, 837 men and women in the American force. This number is factored against a population of more or less 280,000,000 Americans in the 52 states.

China alone has a population of about 1,200,000,000 people. It has an active force of 2,255,000, a reserve force of 510,000 and paramilitary force of 660,000. But in a war situation, China can quickly mobilize 381,747,145 men and women to fight for the Republic. These are men and women available and ready to fight in defense of the country. 381,747,145 fighters is well above the total population of the United States of America.

America could throw killer bombers here and there, but it would be foolhardy to think China does not have the ballistic capability to strike New York from Beijing-they have weapons. It is a Nuclear power, it is an economic power and if you believe that you need the financial and human resources to fight a war, then you can see that China is not a small adversary in the military ranking of nations in the world today. To answer your question directly, China could surprise you! Thanks for this heavily engaging post!

China is only at 7% for me today, whereas the US & Australia are vying for first place at 35% and 33% respectively, India and UK at a tie for 9%. It is very interesting all in all to see the comparisons. A most impressive article Jimmy, and a very enjoyable read. Thanks.

I think you have to sit on the fence, here as we really don’t know if china have cut too many corners, with its rush to economic glory… what have they done to their environment, will they have enough to drink? clean water, they already are the worlds biggest owners of land all over the globe just trying to feed them self, and supply raw materials for their big industries? will the rest of the globe be so keen to let x amount of food go straight to china if their own country is in need? will protectionism kick in, and the rest of the planet start buying local made rather than cheap imports, will the imports stay cheap? lots of things have to be looked at before a serious answer is given Leo cheers

As for the war question, I don’t think it will get much worse than the very moment we live… I live in Scotland and we are, and have been pretty much self sufficient in everything one could need to survive all of life’s catsafter me’s… In the other hand neither the Usa or China can say that, so if it comes to war they have only the means to end life which leaves no winner, so they struggle on with their false beliefs that economics will win the day for them.

No one would win a 3d world war, particularly between the West and China. The results worldwide would be devastating, so much more so than either the first or second world wars, which claimed tens of millions of lives, including family members of mine who still remain buried in France.
At best, a third world war would result in forever changing the world as we know it (consider simply the demolition of existing communications, gps, and other satelites). At worst, this type of war would run the very real risk of bringing the human race to near extinction (think of the global nuclear conflict we all feared during the cold war).
My vote – no one wins. – Michael

My dashboard is USA 35%, UK 34%, Australia 7%, Canada 7% and China 2%, then with other countries in between. That 2% though for me still counts for a lot of traffic.

China is a large country. I think if there is a 3rd world war then China will win.
    @Emmie- I have USA-34%, India-28%, UK-13%, Pakistan-8%, Australia-7%, China-6% and Poland-5% :)

Anyways, I personally think that war should not take place or else we will get nothing else but destruction and more destruction! The beautiful world that we have created over the centuries or even in the past 4-5 decades will get destroyed in no time! A really shocking thing to happen.
    Sincere regards,

I know alot of people fear China, especially In Europe and with the American leftist elites, especially in the media. Im not quite sure if Europeans and the radical left are hoping we lose more than fear. Im American and career military, but objectively I say America wins. Ill explain why. Any war to be faught will not be on either theirs or our homelands. Nukes would be used if either side was about to collapse to an enemy and face occupation. China is too big and America is too far for that. The key will be who controls the air and more importantly the sea. So, I think if any land war would take place, it would, be in places like Taiwan or some strategically located pacific islands. Thanks to ww2, we were able to take and control those islands, effectively making the pacific ocean an American lake. Strong allies like Austrailia, Japan and S.korea multiplies that by a factor of 10. Any current disagreement wiith our pacific allies are minor and would not divide us, unlike in Europe, where anti-american mass hysteria, inferiority complexes and self loathing, trumps collective security. If China cannot control the seas the war is lost for them. China has mountains on 3 sides and will be effectively trapped. All thats left is the sea. Commerce stops and so does the economy. We have 13 carrier strike groups, China has none. They would have to submit or go nuclear. At the end of the day, Chinese want to live and doesnt want to destroy the planet, just like we dont. Unlike islam.

To say china defeated the US “hands down” is so wrong, that your either an idiot or purposely misinforming those who dont know better. Indeed thats the tactic used by educators in Europe and to a lesser extent, America. Because of people like you, is the sole reason the US is unpopular. I admit the US makes mistakes, like all nations do, but rewriting history because of personal reasons is disgraceful. Europeans have been easily manipulated, due to their socialist group thinking and willingness to conform to the expectations of their social status. That has never took hold in the US until recently. Those under the age of 25, have been conditioned to hate America. The education system teaches lies as indisputable facts. Also, the “everyone gets a trophy”, whether you win or not, insures “right or wrong”, and “truth and lies”, have no place in their thoughts. Im betting your in that category, by confidently saying something so ignorant as if it was fact is infuriating!!

I know telling you what really happened during the Korean War will not make a difference, but im gonna say it anyway. Europeans are taught that the south started the war by invading north, which flys in the face of the fact that it was the other way. After the US was able to move the professional non-conscript units, the N.Koreans were chased out of the country and their military was reduced to about 1500 men. To those who dont know the facts, but care to know, the N.Korean army had 150,000 just 4 months earlier. The only mistakes were made by the US high command. So without a declaration of war, China threw about 500,000 men in the first wave, with about another 2 million over the next 6 months. The US was over-extended and forced to retreat. With very few exceptions it was an orderly withdrawal, even with the 2 million N.Korean civilians who were liberated and made it safelly to the south. The only unit which was surrounded by the Chinese, was the 1st marine division at the choson reservoir. The marines faught there way through the chinese with army help, inflicting almost 1 million casualties on the “great chinese army that won hands down”, according to the douchebag who wrote this revisionist history article. Seeing that there is still a S.Korea thats free. Seeing as the US military suffered about 31,000 dead and the Chinese suffered about 2.5 million dead by their estimates, which means it was probably way more, your conclusions are ridiculously and shamefully as wrong as it could be.
