Ancient China
All about ancient China, a good place to enjoy life.
Picture a country that has approximately two thousand eight hundred natural lakes, the Himalaya Mountains, the Gobi desert, the Huang He River and many other exciting geographic elements. All of these elements have a huge effect on China’s society and are also very similar to the ones in the United States.
The Huang He River is very important to the people of China. It is very important because it would over flow and leave behind very rich soil. Thanks to the river they had a lot of crops which the farmers were very thankful for. The farmers were highly respected by the people because the farmers were supplying them with food. The farmers would work hard day after day not just to feed their families but the whole town too. The only bad thing about the river is that it would flood unpredictably. Sometimes when it would flood it would drown thousands of people. That is how the Huang He River got the nick name “China’s Sorrow.” That is why the Chinese people built a dike. The dike was a wall built to hold back the flowing water. The Huang He River is the second to largest river in China. Five thousand four hundred sixty four kilometers is the total length of the Huang He River. The largest and most important river in the United States is the Mississippi River. Even though this river might not over flow and leave us with rich soil but it is important to us in many different ways. The Mississippi River is two thousand five hundred forty miles long. It flows from Minnesota south to the Gulf of Mexico. It is a great way to transport goods to other states.
The Gobi desert also played a huge role in China’s society. The Gobi desert acted as a natural barrier. Everyone knew not to go through the Gobi desert because if you went in you would never come back out. This is a big desert; it is one million two hundred ninety- five thousand square kilometers. The Chihuahuan is the largest North American Desert; it is four hundred fifty-five thousand square miles squared. That desert is located in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Even though China and The United States are on separate sides on the earth they still have similar natural elements.
China is the home to the Himalaya Mountains. They also act as a natural barrier, because of this mountain range no one could intrude through the southwest part of China. The Himalaya Mountain Range is the world’s highest mountain range. Located in the Himalaya Mountains are the top ten highest peeks in the world. The highest peek is Mount Everest. It is eight thousand eight hundred forty-eight miles high. The highest mountain point in the United States is Cheaha. It is located in the state on Colorado. Remember the geography of China is very similar to the United States and China’s unique society was shaped by there geography. China is the country that has the hightest mountain range and it had the longest river!

It’s like you’re trying to advertise this country instead of inform us about it. would be a good persuasive text rather than information..
sorry,
Cheese.
