The three main architectural styles of Ancient Greece were called orders. They are the Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian orders. They were chiefly distinguished by their different capitals at the top. Doric capitals were simple and sturdy; the Ionic capitals had spiral scrolls called volutes; and Corinthian capitals were adorned with carved acanthus leaves. Columns were occasionally replaced by load-bearing statues known as caryatids.

Another section to talk about is Ancient Greek clothing which was usually made at home and was made by the same type of fabric as a blanket. Fabrics from Ancient Greece were proved to be intensely colored. The two main garments for both men and women in Greece were a tunic and a cloak. The tunic was a large rectangle of heavy fabric. It was placed around the body and fastened with a pin.

One of the sections is Greek religion which is very important because it was a predominant or early form of paganism which is similar to polytheism. The Greek were one of the first civilizations to use that early form of paganism and believed that the gods would guide their city-states. Greek religion was ritual based because it had no claim of universality. Since they worshipped so many gods, they created a polytheistic society.

This paragraph talks about the Ancient Greek diet which consisted of foods that were easily grown in the rocky terrain. Their breakfast was bread dipped in wine. Lunch was the same but with some olives, figs, cheese, or dried fish. Supper, which was the main meal of the day, was eaten near sunset. It had vegetables, fruit, fish, and possibly honey cakes.

Ancient Greeks made many beautiful sculptures and paintings like Praxiteles. Ancient Greek Art is usually in only four forms: Architecture, Sculpture, Painting, and Pottery. The architectural art includes homes, public buildings, and religious buildings. The sculpture are includes small figures, life-sized statues, and relief sculptures which were on the sides of buildings. Most of the paintings we have are from the Bronze Age and barely any from the Classical Age.
