Anna Hazare- Rise of Another Mahatma

 India’s ex-Army man and social activist Anna Hazare has started a movement to fight corruption. His hard working supporters and spiritual leader Baba Ramdev etc made his strength rise day by day.

 Ex public servants who served their motherland with dedication and always honoured for their work, they still want to serve with honour and honesty. They want to make sure that balance of power is properly envisaged and not accumulated in the same hands. So they are with team Anna.

 Civil society is already fed up because of day-to-day corruption. They work for a living not just for themselves but also for the nation, they pay taxes out of their Income to the government to run the nation but corrupt politicians and officials has made this their network of making money; they take national revenue out through scams, which they channelized to their International Banks Accounts under pseudo names. So civil society is with Anna to wipe out corruption.

 Social workers run NGOs for the welfare of the poor. NGOs are funded by those who want welfare for the needy, they are answerable to their donors but politicians want a share in this wealth. Corruption is a clear threat to the welfare and development of the needy; so they have open support for Anna.

 Spiritual leaders always concern about the effects on morality. Politicians raise the issue about their wealth and charge them for communalism; disciples of the spiritual leaders pay them from their hard-earned money for spiritual growth, but politicians’ want this amount also in their pockets; so spiritual leaders are supporting Anna with their disciples to protect moral values.

 The Indian business community have to pay bribe in every sector; red collar interference puts negative effects on their business. At the time of globalization, they also want their business to rise without being affected by the corruption. So Anna have their support, corporate heads like Rahul Bajaj, Adi Godrej, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Director General of industry chamber FICCI Rajiv Kumar, Assocham chief Dilip Modi are also supporting Anna openly.

 NRIs like Economist Lord Meghnad Desai, IACC President Gautam Mahajan are also supporting Anna. NRIs have seen that under globalization, they can run business without paying bribes or being tangled in red tape, and they want the same thing at their homeland, so Anna got support form NRIs for his cause.
