Arizona Based Egyptians

In the closing scene of that iconic old movie Raiders of The Lost Ark, the disappearance, into an anonymous warehouse, of the wooden crate holding the Ark of the Covenant – hidden in an anonymous wooden crate – was obviously a fiction, but could similar things happen in actuality, and are there examples?

The most revered, by many, historical institution in the world is the Smithsonian. This noble institute have kept records of American history for centuries, but could the existence of a historical find, so significant that it might change history, really have been buried by this learned house, simply too controversial ever to be made public?

Deep in the heart of Arizona lies one of the natural wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon.  This beautiful, vast and breathtaking cleft in the earth’s crust hid many secrets, for a long time,  none stranger than that reported in the Phoenix Gazette, on April 5th 1909.  This  told of an explorer, G.E.Kincaid, reporting an archeological discovery of earth-shattering importance.

Smithsonian Professor S.A.Jordan, who was the man to whom Kincaid reported, because the institute were funding this exploration, was reportedly enthusiastic that further investigations be carried out. 2000 feet above the Colorado river , on a canyon wall forty miles or so upstream from El Tovar crystal canyon, Kincaid had found a cave entrance, leading to a vast underground city, all of it hewn from solid rock walls.

Steps leading to the cave suggested that river levels had been that much higher, when inhabited, giving a time-span since of at least 3000 years!  Almost a mile underground, precisely carved in geometric patterns, Kincaid reported  discovering hundreds of rooms the full extent impossible to estimate with any certainty.

The great hall, as Kincaid named it, lay only one hundred ft from the cave entrance, holding a carved idol within, of the god these people worshipped, perhaps, which sat which he described thus; cross-legged, with lotus flower or lily in each hand. The face was oriental, resembling Buddha, reminding Kincaid strongly of ancient Tibet and China.

All kinds of copper tools, which had undergone a  hardening method of preservation unkown to science of modern times, were found, along with vases and urns, of copper and gold, as well as glazed vessels, enameled wares and granaries, still holding seed.

Grey metal, resembling platinum, which scientists could not identify was also unearthed, and yellow stones, cat’s eyes as they were dubbed, each engraved with a head were all over the site.  Hieroglyphics, amazingly similar to Egyptian symbols, were discovered on urns, tablets and around doorway edgings.
