Bush Vacations vs. Obama Vacations Update

Those who defend the Obama regime will remind us how many vacations Bush had taken, let us decide here and now.

George W. Bush indeed spent a lot of time on Vacation, not as much as the Obamas.  Ok, here is the difference.  While the bushes spend their vacation at home, using air force one to fly them to Texas and back, George W. spend a lot of that time working from that vacation spot.  If you add in all the White House parties, the bill comes to a whopping twenty five million dollars.

Obama, and his family are world travelers it would seem. One trip to Hawaii cost taxpayers four million dollars.  f you times that by their three other vacations, their daughters trips as well ass he Michelle trips, and all the White House parties, it is not even close to George W.  No, it surpasses Bush by a mere thirty two million adding the total to a whopping 57 million.  So when the public criticized the Bush’s for spending out dollars for vacations, in the eight years, remember, that the Obama’s fifty seven million was in three years time for the Obama’s.

The argument is easy to win.  Everything Obama does that is wrong is blamed on, and compared to George W. Bush.  The fact is, they, the left always compares the Obama’s three year term to Bush’s eight years.  If we do the math, and allow the Obama’s to continue, the bill would be approximated to one hundred and forty three million dollars estimating with the year not being over yet for the Obama’s to have their fun in the sun.  If we compare that to the Bush twenty five million dollar bill, do we really have an argument?  In these troubled economic times, in which the President feels is not troubled at all, do we really need to watch the hierarchy spend more then most families will see in their lifetime?

Here is the list

If you want to be technical if we just use the cost of Air Force 1 Bush spent almost 20 million on trips to TX. That doesn’t count the cost of the Secret Service, staff, and etc. That doesn’t include his vacations abroad & etc. So if you want to write a blog post the facts, not your spin.

Nicole – if what you are saying is true, then what is your source (s)? Or are you pulling this out of your ____? Typical left wing rhetoric – showing your hypocrisy – you blame this blogger for inaccuracy yet your rebuttal also has no source.

Nicole, Obama had all that as well, and his daughter had her own secret service when she went to Mexico by herself with a number of classmates. Obama is a big spender.

Folks, I am the source my friends. Yes George Bush used his plane, to Texas, his ranch. Remember, he had eight years not four and Obama has used it twice as much. I have four insiders in the White House, and have loads of journalists who keep me in touch. If you think Bush out spent Obama, do the math. If I wrote this article today, it would be four times the amount with all of his campaigning. I do not usually respond to rhetoric, but the liberal media is in big trouble in November.

The fact that you use the term “regime” tells me that your figures and claims cannot be trusted. You are a biased source against President Obama.

No, the fact is, Obama is gearing up towards full control, and yes, his regime, will try and stop anyone who tries to stop him. The future is here.

Full control? Oh, the conspiracy theorists are at it again. You guys said that Clinton was going to try to “take over” as well. When he didn’t, all the theorists acted as if they never said a word.

Tell me, what sense does it make for a supposed soon-to-be dictator (”any day now!”) to wait until a re-election – that is not guaranteed to happen – to put his plan into place?
And why are conservatives so worried about him “taking full control” when the majority of Republican politicians want full control over citizens’ private lives, civil rights, biological decisions? There’s the Texas GOP’s platform that includes a goal of overturning the Civil Rights Voting Act of 1965, there’s all the anti-gay & anti-Muslim propaganda, and the stated goals of forcing women to have children whether they want to or not (and even if it kills them, literally).
Let’s not start on the anti-liberal smearing. I guess the radically-liberal-for-their-time Founding Fathers should have just listened to the conservative Tories, by today’s logic.

Obama has plenty of flaws; he’s a politician, after all. Why not attack the REAL problems, with actual facts, instead of using false claims, misinformation & deliberately misleading figures?
(FYI, all Presidents work during their “vacations.” It’s part of the job. Bush spent 1/3 of his presidency on vacation, though… I believe that’s the current record.)

The way he classified his trips was disengenuous. He spent more, and burired the cost.

emily. that is bs. obama has gone to other countries, cleared out hotels and acted like they’re royalty. bush usually went to his ranch and worked from there, reagan did the same, bush’s father went to maine.

You are taking the cost of his most expensive vacation and using that as the same cost for other vacations and parties. That is inaccurate.

Umm, just curious: who’s actually read any of Bob Caterino’s “books”? I tried, but once I got over the laughter, I had to stop. It was like watching a five year old who “really, really, really” believes he’s a fireman:

“Bill I thank you for walking me to my car. You are so nice and really, you didn’t have to do this.” said Gloria Wilson mother of two and good wife to her husband Jack, an insurance salesman. They are in church every Sunday and Gloria is a member of the PTA as well as a volunteer for the hospital three afternoons a week. Gloria also worked part time for a stationary store on the weekends and had to stay late due to inventory on this fine clear Saturday night.”

There are just so many things wrong with this “writing” I wouldn’t even know where to begin. But I suppose they can all be summed up by focusing on the most obvious: Bob Caterino is no writer.

I am read all over the world. I have fifteen books published. You have never read anything I had written, only the previews which are not a book give a way. So, laughing at the handicapped, makes you a man? a woman? who knows. I know what matters, my readers who praise me, you are lashing out because your Obama spends so much on his lavish lifestyle? What do my books, have to do with Bush vacations compared to Obama vacations? How many books have you sold? my book Growing Up Goomba, is on its tenth printing, and Sara Miller, its tenth as well. The Last Serial Killer, the one you tried to demonize, bought me a home. If you are going to correct grammar, then you are not one to steep in the storyline. My fans get me, they don’t want to have to use a thesaurus to read a book. I wonder what you say about Uncle Remus? I am an independent, and dyslexic, and do it all myself, so poke fun if you want to, but after forty years, I must be doing something right.

Bob, I praise you, for one, and would like to read some of your books. I am pleased to get your report on the vacations and I respect your sources. Any time one tells the truth these days, expect a liberal retort citing unspecified “facts” and “quotes” from non-existant “authorities”. (They’ve apparently never written a term paper that required citations.) The inherent problem with liberals is they have no moral imperative. Facts are irrelevant unless they are making them up. Liberals, in my experience are diagnosable sociopaths. They are uneducable and there are no moral grounds from which one may discuss anything. There should be no inability to access truth these days, unless you’re deliberately ignoring it. Liberals don’t have an information problem; they have a truth problem. Great piece, my friend.

Thanks Doug, it means a lot. Liberals do not like work, if they google Obama vacation costs, they will get a number, then do the same for Bush. They don’t really care, they just want to bash the other side, even if they do not know what any side stands for.

Fact. GWB is the vacation winner. check out article “President Obama’s back from Hawaii: How many vacations has he taken?” on Washington Times site. GWB took 1020 days over 8 years. At the current rate Obama will be at about 262 days (average), As for working on his vacation, yes Obama does that too.
