Who is this man?

Well, he is me, the writer of this piece.  Born in England, 2 days after the Apollo 11 mission enabled the Eagle to land, taking Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin into history, as the first men to set foot on the Moon.

Why is this man so intent on getting a letter from these men?

Born to a family who followed the space race with a passion, his sister suggested to his mum and dad that it might be a unique and memorable thing to name him Aldrin Armstrong, in memory of the fact that he was born so close to this momentous event in history.

I’ve tried personal letters and emails to company websites etc.  All to no avail.  The internet is a wonderful thing.  If you’re reading this, chances are you’re a space or moon fan too.  If you were to send this message to a like-minded friend and they sent it to a friend and so on and so forth, this letter may just end up in the inbox of someone somewhere who might pass it on to the two gentlemen in question themselves, and if they were to follow the link and email me, then I would most likely jump for joy like I’ve never jumped for joy before.

It’s the small hope of a forty year old man heading over the hill, and believe me I’ve tried hard to contact these men, but to date I have not been successful.
