The tour begins upon arrival in the shop with a 12-minute video on the channel structures. It continues through the different spaces, revealing the lives of sailors with models, paintings, visuals on construction barges, maintenance of the banks or on the daily lives of sailors. The highlight, locks size measuring between three to six meters, you will learn more about how the ladies of wood or iron.

Located on the town of Audes, about fifteen miles north of Montlucon, the Canal Museum Berry addresses the themes of history, industry, handicrafts, commerce, administration and manners and customs of the past … The museum plans to open the doors of a vanished world, the transport of goods by inland canals through an open house about 2am with a clear and complete staging.

The tour begins upon arrival in the shop with a 12-minute video on the channel structures. It continues through the different spaces, revealing the lives of sailors with models, paintings, visuals on construction barges, maintenance of the banks or on the daily lives of sailors. The highlight, locks size measuring between 3 to 6 meters, you will learn more about how the ladies of wood or iron.

Outside, two barges authentic saved from certain destruction are contemplating. You will observe habitat Petty (stove, bed, wardrobe …) in the “ass boat” and dock with its simulation of unloading (wagon …). A picnic area is available at the water’s edge.

New 2011: audioguiding pedal boats and sail to peacefully channel Berry after the visit.
