Celebrating Mother’s Day with a Difference

Motherhood is the best gift a woman can have. The society around you and I is one mother we cannot ignore, what can we do this Mother’s day to show some difference in our approach to our daily lives?
What can we give in return, to Mother nature; Mother World this season?

There are many reasons why you would go happily celebrating the motherhood of every woman in the society, but this year the main focus this year the focus should be in deep details. Thinking of the word Mother in details, to a young child, the word mother would mean the child’s biological mother, a female figure in a child’s life as far as even grandmother. To a youth, the word mother may mean a female care giver. One who the youth can lean on, a mother is the shoulder to weep on. The female factor probably socially who has an extra ear to listen to everything one got to say would be the definition of a mother to a married man or woman. The definition of Mother can go on and on, it is up to the beholder!

This year the world mother may take a different definition.

In Africa, there is the common title Mama Africa or Mother Africa. To many, the continent of Africa is viewed as a female or mother to many nations of many languages. Deeply defined, the wealth of a woman in many tongues, yet bearing riches all over her. The map of Africa has in many occasions been drawn as an African woman facing to the West, wearing a head scarf tied at the back of her head which is at the East, her long gracious neck running down South. The map looks like a very responsible woman, very caring.

A mother is not just a woman, she is a care giver, a mother is not just biological parent or a lady, a mother is the only person around you and I who seem to have more than 24 hours for everyone, listening to their troubles, with laps big enough to accommodate every child in the world, with a big loving heart for everyone needing love to come in and be warm in her love. A mother is viewed as a secret keeper, attention giver, protector, one who calms the noise in the world, the one you wouldn’t really want to hurt but unfortunately it is her tears that are commonly seen because she is not afraid to show her tears in mourning and all times of sadness. That is the Mother world!

This year, Mother world seems to be sorting the entangled financial circumstances in the whole world. When we her children have ran all over her emotions and abused her feelings, mother world still seems to have some love for all of us. Imagine in the midst of the recession, countries depending on mining for all the time the people have existed, having nowhere else to sell the mineral since the market has gone into a surge. But Mother World goes on to give a bounty agricultural harvest where no one would have expected. Mother World naturally heals herself, she must always be on her knees praying for her dear children, you and I, don’t you wonder how some solutions seem to just show up when all things seem to come to a stand still? Ask Mama World.

Thanks Revivor, Can you imagine if we all took an extra step to do something about our environment, treating people with love as an everyday thing, wouldn’t that make the world a better place to live in? Its unfortunate all we think of is taking mom to a coffee shop and before she can clear her coffee and muffin we are already arguing. What a shame!
