Chavez Praises “Democratic Maturity” of The Egyptian People
Egypt may have the will of the Venezuela Bolivarian fraternal.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Saturday hailed the “lesson in democratic maturity” of the Egyptian people and welcomed the “peaceful victory, a day after the resignation of President Hosni Mubarak, cornered by popular protests and international pressure .
Chávez, “presents a genuine lesson in political maturity and democratic than the brave people of Egypt has given the eyes of the world” and “joins his joy in this moment of triumph peacefully,” reads a statement from the Foreign Ministry.
In the text, the Head of State expressed the hope that Egypt will continue to strengthen this political emancipation using its sovereign prerogatives and inalienable “and assured that Venezuela accompanied him in solidarity” on this new path.
“Maybe Egypt will have fraternal Bolivarian Venezuela, to build a multipolar world of equality and justice, on the basis of genuine friendship and cooperation,” concludes the text.
On several occasions, Chavez expressed concern about the Egyptian crisis. On Friday, after 18 days of mass protests Mubarak ended 30 years of presidency and handed over power to the Armed Forces, in charge of the transition until the election of a new government
