Childhood Film Rotated Obama Starts in Jakarta

A film is lifted from the childhood of President Barack Obama’s America while living in Indonesia is playing this week in Jakarta.

Directed by Damien Dematra said the film titled, Little Obama, was lifted from a true story and bring the message, “it’s okay we’re different.”

Obama is young or ‘Barry’ is played by American children, Hasan Faruq Ali (12 years).

Hasan Faruq Ali, 12-year-old American citizen, to serve as Obama’s young, or ‘Barry,’ so the call of the president by his school friends. As president, Ali was the son of mixed couples who moved from America to Indonesia since she was a toddler.

Obama lived in the neighborhood of Menteng Jakarta from 1967-1971 with mother and stepfather are from Indonesia.

This movie premiere is scheduled in June to coincide with the visit of President Obama to countries in Asia. But the trip was postponed because of the health insurance debate in Congress, then because of oil spills in the Gulf of Mexico. President Obama is expected to go in November.
