Clever Trojan
After doing a report on the Trojan War, I came across a very clever event that I thought the world should know about.
The Greeks came up with a very clever idea to win the Trojan War, which is a true event proven through the pages of the blind-poet Homers “The Iliad”. The Greeks pretended to sail away, and gave the Trojans the idea of them leaving out of fear and giving up. They left behind a huge wooden horse, filled with Greek soldiers. A Greek man was hiding when he showed his face to a group of Trojans trying to determine why they had a huge wooden horse in-front of them. He started by telling them that the Greeks hated him, and that the horse was for the Goddess Athena. Not wanting to disappoint her, they broke down their walls to fit it in to where they “Gave it to her”. After parties and hours of celebration, when the Trojans fell asleep the Greeks came out of the horse and signaled their men to come back, where they won and ended the Trojan War.

Short and simple. Shows how you can fool someone by invoking thier religious fantasies. There is a great movie about it starring Brad Pitt and Eric Banna. The title slips me, but it’s a great watch if you get it on DVD.
Great, j
