Clusters Battle At Little Bighorn

Information about the battle of little bighorn.

WHO

Reno and Beteen were part of Clusters 7th Calvary and all were in the battle. There were 655 men involved with these 3 people. Also at the end of the battle General Alfred Terry and his larger army arrived and saved about 350 men.

What

They were fighting over the land which the Indians owned but the English claimed. They were not ment to attack, they were only ment to find out about the positioning of the Indians and the numbers. The English claimed that they were fighting for the law but the Indians owned the land and that claim was only a cover up. The English were fighting over gold. The Indians were fighting over land.

When

Cluster was sent out to find the Indians on the 22nd of June 1876 and on 25th of June 1876 Cluster found them. On the same day the battle begin, and on the same day as that the battle ended.

Where

The battle of little bighorn was at little bighorn. They sent out the army to find the Indians that were slowly murdering peoples at the gold mining town of Deadwood.

Why

They were fighting because the English rulers considered fighting to be the easiest and most effective way of getting the land. Although the Indians would have let the English on there land if the English didn’t kill most of the Indians and didn’t break treaties and promises. The battle was also happening because the Indians retaliated to what the English were doing to them.
