Defining Yourself with Dangerous Style

Creating a Look that Demands Satisfaction.

Gentlemen, there’s an old saying.  Clothes make the man.  Anybody who has any common sense can tell you different.  You can dress a wolf in sheep’s clothing but that don’t make him a sheep does it?  Unless you’re a devious hustler and that’s your angle, why look like a sheep in the first place?  People make judgements about you from that very first glance.  There’s no getting around that.  How you present yourself can either promote or discourage the interest of others. Which would you prefer?  You already know the answer to that.

It breaks down like this:  Dress dull and people will see dull.  Dress geeky and people will see a geek.  Dress like some average blue collar git-r-done and that’s all you’ll be assumed to be.  Most guys are comfortable with that.  It’s almost a virtue to look as much like everyone else as you possibly can.  That makes some kind of ignorant sense but it also offers no edge.  We are competitive creatures.  So lets look at this from a competitor’s point of view.  Two women at the pool table.  Why would they want to leave with you instead of “Scugg and Skagg”?  Why would you stand out as a more exciting choice of company?  That’s what I’m going to address right now.

Women can smell a dollar bill through a steel door.  Dressing like you’ve got some measure of success in your life automatically sets you apart in the Right Kind Of Way.  It is a mistake to be completely overdressed.  This makes you look foppish and opens the door to ridicule.  It also makes you a target for gold diggers.  So put together a persona that comes across as well off with a streetwise brand of confidence and class.  Don’t look like a loser.  Women you meet in clubs and bars usually aren’t looking for Mr. Right.  They’re looking for Mr. Fun.  Dress too conservatively and be tagged as a bore.  They can find that at home with “What’s-his-name”.  Like anybody else, they want to misbehave.  That’s what you want.  That’s what they want.  So put together a look that says: Yeah, I’m the kind of Bad Guy that makes you feel good!
