Directors ‘Film Osama’ Given Access to State Secrets,President Barack Obama has been accused of endangering national security for political gain by giving access to a state secret material, which is about the attack that killed Osama bin Laden, to Hollywood filmmakers.
Directors ‘Film Osama’ Given Access to State Secrets, A number of documents released under freedom of information laws show that the U.S. Defense Department and CIA are enthusiastically helping Kathryn Bigelow, director of Oscar-winning film-making process that will soon be available. The film tells the story of the attack that killed Osama.
Obama administration even provide access to the film team was to meet “a planner, operator and the commander of SEAL Team Six”, the U.S. Navy’s elite squad that killed Osama in May last year, although the identities of the members of the Navy SEALS are strictly kept confidential.
The filmmakers were taken to a secret facility, whose name should be removed from the documents released them. They were allowed to take a tour of the CIA in a number of compartments, which contain large amounts of confidential information. To them also demonstrated a complex model of Osama in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
Bigelow movie called Zero Dark Thirty is scheduled to be circulated in October. But its manufacture is now triggering allegations that the film was made to improve the prospects for Obama to get elected again the following month.

U.S. Congressman from New York, Peter King, who is chairman of the Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday (5/23/2012), said the number of e-mail memperliatkan a “story about a very close collaboration, unprecedented, and potentially dangerous “between Obama’s senior officials, the filmmakers and a left-leaning lobbying organization.
“If the facility was so secret that even his name not be publicly known, then why is the Obama Administration to allow the filmmakers to do a tour there?” asked the King.
In the midst of the Republican push for an investigation, King has written to senior officials at the Pentagon and the CIA is demanding more details about what has been revealed to Bigelow and screenwriter Mark Boal.
In a meeting last July, Michael Vickers, an official at the ministry of defense for intelligence, promised to “provide a man who was involved from the beginning”, which will “give you everything you want”, according to a transcript of it. “It was dynamite,” said Boal. Bigelow, who meraihkan Oscar in 2009 for Best Director for The Hurt Locker, adding, “It’s incredible.”
Vickers said, “One thing we ask is that you did not disclose his name in any way.” The Pentagon now claims that the man, whose name was deleted from the documents released, it is not directly involved in the attack.
The meeting was held just weeks after Robert Gates, who later became boss of Vickers named as defense minister, said he was “deeply concerned” that the leaks about the attack on Osama could jeopardize future operations.
In an e-mail, Boal also discussed a meeting with John Brennan, Obama’s counterterrorism chief adviser, and Denis McDonough, deputy national security adviser to President.
Republicans said the number of e-mails and transcripts of it – hundreds of pages – the alleged confidential material may have been given to another person without the necessary security clearance. “The spread of confidential documents for political purposes would raise questions related to the Obama administration’s decision,” said Kirsten Kukowski, spokesperson for the Republican party. “Putting politics above our national security is certainly cause for concern and should be investigated.”
Republicans also raised concerns, based on the documents circulated, that the number of contacts between officials in the surrounding Obama and the film producers have been mediated by the Glover Park Group, a lobbying agency senior staff includes former officials from the Clinton administration.
